Extreme Weather Brief
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 10, 2026
This policy explains how the Extreme Weather Brief publishing application ("the app") handles information. The app is an internal tool used only by the operator of the Extreme Weather Brief YouTube channel to publish its own videos. It is not offered to the public and has no user accounts.
YouTube API Services
The app uses YouTube API Services to upload videos, set video thumbnails, update the channel's own description and branding, and read the channel's own video and channel statistics. By using the app, the channel operator agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Information accessed through YouTube API Services is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
Information we access, use and store
- OAuth tokens for the channel operator's own Google account, stored only on the operator's private computer and used only to call the YouTube API on behalf of that channel.
- The channel's own data — its video list, upload status and public statistics — used to confirm uploads and measure performance.
The app does not access, collect or store personal information about viewers or any other YouTube users, and it does not use cookies or tracking on this website.
Sharing
We do not sell, share or disclose any information obtained through YouTube API Services to third parties.
Retention and deletion
Tokens are kept only while the app is in use and are deleted when access is revoked. Channel statistics are kept for the channel's own reporting. Access granted to the app can be revoked at any time from the Google security settings page.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
